Hidden Passages
Passages of Life, section from 200 metre installation. The work is now on permanent loan to St Mary's Church.
Ashford town centre has a number of passage and alley ways, remnants of it's medieval origins, spaces that exist but at the same time do not, many are not named on any map. Hidden Passages looked to re-discover these spaces, their history and uses and overlay that with the alternative definitions of the word passage, to create a series of site specific art installations and interventions.
Forming Ashford's 4th annual Art & Architecture Festival, Hidden Passages created temporary art works along with a dynamic outdoor performance that drew together local groups in celebrating Ashford's Hidden Passages and the town's unique make up. more
